Wilson is a New York and San Francisco-based set designer. His designs in New York include Boom (Ars Nova), Masked (Daryl Roth), Dark Matters (Rattlestick Theatre), The Dear Boy (Second Stage Theatre), Christine Jorgensen Reveals (Dodger Stages, Drama Desk Award for Best Unique Theatrical Experience) and Holy Cross Sucks! (Ars Nova, TONY Top 10 Production of 2005). Regionally, Wilson has designed at Shakespeare Theatre Company, Hartford Stage, The Old Globe, Trinity Rep, ACT, Indiana Rep, Studio Arena, Geva Theatre, Yale Rep, Central City Opera, San Francisco Opera, Hangar Theatre, Weston Playhouse, Dorset Theatre Festival and Berkeley Opera.
Wilson's frequent collaborations with playwright Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa include premieres of King of Shadows, Dark Matters, Bloody Mary, Rough Magic, Golden Age, Say You Love Satan, and The Muckle Man. Wilson has also designed premieres of plays by Tim Acito, Ariel Dorfman, Bixby Elliot, Jeff Janisheski, Carly Mensch, Peter Sinn Nachtrieb, Dan O'Brien, Victoria Stewart and James Still.
Wilson served as the assistant designer to Santo Loquasto on 19 productions including the Broadway productions of Glengarry Glen Ross (Tony Award nomination and Drama Desk Award), Three Days of Rain (Tony Award nomination), Shining City and The Times They Are A-Changin', and Faust at the Metropolitan Opera.
Wilson received his BA in Architecture from UC Berkeley and his MFA from the Yale School of Drama where he received the Oenslager Scholarship in Stage Design and the Oenslager Travel Fellowship Award.
